St. Louis Ribs (1.0 lbs)

$ 17.95

Description: St. Louis ribs (Spare Ribs), a mouthwatering delicacy popular in American barbecue, derives its name from the city that played a significant role in its culinary evolution. Originating from the Midwest, specifically St. Louis, Missouri, these succulent pork spare ribs gained fame for their unique preparation and distinctive taste. St. Louis ribs are characterized by their rectangular shape, achieved by removing the brisket bone and excess cartilage. The remaining meat is then slow-cooked until tender, allowing the flavors to develop and the rich marbling to melt into a harmonious blend. St. Louis ribs have since become a beloved barbecue staple, epitomizing the rich heritage of St. Louis' culinary traditions.

Cooking Suggestions: Preheat oven to 175°F (80°C). Prepare a baking sheet with a thin layer of water. Season St. Louis Ribs generously with garlic salt, onion powder, and black pepper. Bake for 1 hour. After 50 minutes, preheat grill to high heat. Transfer ribs from oven to grill. Sear for 6 minutes per side, starting fat-side up. Coat meat side with BBQ sauce while flipping. Remove from grill. Let rest, then slice into portions. Serve with favorite sides and extra BBQ sauce, if desired.
